Our Story
It began with a simple reflection — a journey through a ladies Life Group called Come Dance with Me, led by June Hodgins — but God was weaving something far greater than we could have imagined. As women gathered, pouring out our hearts before the Lord, He poured His unfailing love into us for one another. What started as a spark ignited into a wildfire of faith, purpose, and passion. From these sacred moments of prayer, a mighty intercessory team arose — women standing boldly in faith, lifting hearts and souls in the presence of God. And from this foundation, Women on a Mission was born.
Our Core Values
Our core values are spiritual growth, fellowship, service, equipping, and empowerment within a supportive community of believers in Jesus Christ. Key principles include fostering a deeper relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, through prayer, encouraging strong connections and mutual support among women. In addition, equipping women with biblical knowledge and creating a safe, encouraging environment for all.
What Makes Us Different
Led by the Holy Spirit, we step out in faith, reaching the lost and broken — offering God's love, sharing our testimonies, and declaring His promises. We believe that as we surrender to the Holy Spirit, we will witness souls saved, hearts transformed, and signs and wonders that reveal His glory!
Just like the day of Pentecost, we've experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our meetings!
The Holy Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4) And when the day of Pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Our Mission
Women on a Mission was born to be an unstoppable force of love, calling, and unwavering devotion to fulfilling the Great Commission. This is our mission. This is our calling. Through Jesus Christ, we will see lives forever changed!
